Truancy is Erik Alcock, a Canadian songwriter and producer who has written for Eminem, Celine Dion, Pink and Pitbull among others. He has written and played on two Grammy award winning albums (Eminem’s Recovery and his Marshall Mathers LP 2, both of which won Rap Album of the Year) as well as playing and writing on P!nk’s Grammy nominated album The Truth About Love. Recent releases in which Erik is credited include Stars by Ria Mae (writer and producer) and the as of yet unreleased Celine Dion track Courage. Courage is also the title track of her upcoming record and the name of her world tour. Celine has been singing lines from the song on late night tv recently (Jimmy Kimmel, Xtra, etc). He is currently signed to Universal Music Publishing.

Erik is a member of the collective The New Royales with DJ Khalil and has recently formed a band (Altar Eagles) and production team (Truancy) with up and comer Cal Brockie. They are moving to Berlin in May.
